In this world of global immediate gratification, we need to make sure we stop and take time to do business with our local friends. Why shop small? You have to ask? Bigger isn’t better when it comes to great service, cool unique selection and it is just better to do business with your friends. I am a total localphile and I love to shop local, and whether it is a record store, boutique, business supplies, we try to stay local and keep our dollars here. So this Thanksgiving, when all of the shopping breaks loose, remember the small local retailers that really need you to survive and then you in they in turn reinvest in our city.
