10th Annual Local Author Fair to be held at the Modesto Library

The Stanislaus County Library will host its 10th Annual Local Author Fair on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Modesto Library portico. Community members will have an opportunity to meet with a variety of local authors. A selection of children’s, teen and adult titles in a variety of genres will be available for purchase.

Participating authors include Pamela Atherstone, James Bacca, Hector R Barrera Ph.D., Frank Blanas, Kathryn Anne Casey, Jennie Chadwick, Heather Crooker, Ellen Cummins, Dee Silva, Brian Duggan, Joanna Esparza, Eduardo Hernández Chávez, Amanda Rawson Hill, Wiley Joiner, Susan Maithya, Tejas Mathai, Iris Melendez, Karen Mitchell, Major Mitchell, Max Mobley, Kathe Poteet, TreVaughn Roach-Carter, Maricela Rocha, Salvatore Salerno, Linda Scheller, Lee Tidball, and Laurie Warren.

“The Local Author Fair is a great opportunity to meet local authors, and ask questions about their work,” said Susan Lilly, Communications, Marketing, and Fund Development Manager for the Stanislaus County Library. “The event showcases the writing talent in our community.”

The event is free of charge, and will be held on the 16th Street side of the library portico. The Modesto Library is located at 1500 I Street. Free parking is available in the parking lot behind the library and on surrounding streets.
