10th St Place brings a beautiful retro-holiday experience to Modesto. This is the Christmas of our youth and yesteryears.  Garland with twinkle lights crisscrosses 10th St and the trees of the plaza are all lit up and you feel like you are surrounded in glitter.   But this is a special place, this is the Modesto Rockin’ North Pole where our own American Graffiti history and our Rockabilly music history collide to bring you a wonderful experience that is wonderful for kids of all ages and families.

Rockin Holiday is free and photos with Rockin’ Santa and his Rockin’ Elves are free in the Classic Rockin’ Sleigh at the Rockin’ North Pole in 10t St Plaza that was painted by the legendary street rod artists Tom “Giant” Nye. The Rockin’ North Pole featured huge oversized candy canes and a presents and amazing twinkle lights. Rockin’ Holiday will feature live Rockin’ music and our world-famous Rockin’ Snow.

Back for 2016 and even better, our famous 50 foot tall Rockin’ Holiday Tree will showcase light shows 7 nights a week from 6 pm – 1 am to dazzle downtown Modesto visitors synched to Rockin’ Holiday music.  Many visitors have been making the Rockin’ Tree a background for many a holiday picture.

Rockin Holiday will light up December 3rd at 7:45 directly after the Modesto Holiday Parade with the amazing Rockin’ Tree lighting celebration with local dignitaries flipping the switch. Live music from the MAMA-winning California 99ers will keep the crowd dancing into the night.

“Modesto Rockin’ Holiday Founder Chris Murphy says “We remember the amazing Christmas holiday decorations of our youth and what downtown Modesto used to look like in the 50’s and the 60’s and we wanted to bring that spirit back to downtown Modesto and make it free foe everyone. We blended our Rockabilly music history with our vintage decorations and Rockin’ North Pole, sprinkle it with snow and fun on the Historic Cruise Route in downtown Modesto, that will excite and thrill the people of our area.”
