In keeping with our ongoing celebration of their 75th year, West Side Theatre is happy to announce its upcoming production of Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward. The play was premiered in the early 1940’s and as such blends nicely with Newman’s own West Side Theatre premiere of 1940.
Blithe Spirit is an exciting comedy dealing with an upper class English author who, through his own meddling, has to deal with two wives, one alive and one a ghost. We have just cast a great group of actors looking forward to sharing this fun-filled show with all.
The show opens October 23th and runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday for two weekends; closing on November 1.
The cast includes Linda Garrett, Cyndi Mall, John Burgess, Darlene Panarra, Joe Moitozo ,Jr., Melanie Braun, and Maddie Panarra.
Directing the production is Mrs. Marion Streczyn. Marion resides in Reno and has been a director for many years in Nevada after being involved with theater in the Bay Area. She is happy and honored to have been asked to direct Blithe Spirit. Streczyn has said, “I am excited to work with dedicated people and I believe our production
will be a great success! So, save the dates!” West Side Theatre’s own Gail E. Chapman is assistant director.
Tickets are $17 General, $20 Reserved Section.
Show times 7 p.m. evenings; Sunday matinees 3 p.m.
Doors open 1/2 hour before performance.
