My adventures through out the valley and Modesto have taken me to great spots that are new to the city or new to me. Each time I get to be a part of one of these adventures I will give you a view of it.

Next to media my other passion is sports and Modesto has been blessed to have a top-notch soccer complex in the west coast. Opened this past summer, it is not only feeding the needs of the thousands of soccer players in the valley but teams of all ages from all over California have already taken to the fresh turf.

The complex has it all. More than 10 felids, snack bar, soccer vendors during tournaments and it’s open to the public to rent.

I’ve been a sports fan all my life. Football, baseball, basketball, etc. As for Soccer, I didn’t play until I was in high school and caught the bug and after playing for Hilmar high I thought I would be done. Then at 21, I started at Modesto JC. I took a soccer class, where we just played soccer for about 90 minutes. I had the bug again then played for Modesto JC, but then wrapped it up. I do play indoor soccer now, yet nothing compares to playing on a full field, with a full team, out in the elements.

When I heard the soccer complex started an adult league I jumped all over that. I found a team with a few friends from the old days with the Modesto JC team and it has been a blast. I’m not great yet, but I’m working hard and having a fun. Make your next adventure a soccer adventure and find a team to play on, or if your friends play, go out and cheer. Play hard and have fun.
