An Afternoon in New Orleans,” PTP’s 2nd Annual Fundraiser

Last year, those who attended Prospect Theater Project’s 1st Annual Fundraiser & Membership Drive walked into “An Afternoon in Cuba,” featuring live Cuban music and an on-the-spot dance lesson for all those wanting to learn Latin dance steps. It was a truly lovely event, filled with great food, wonderful people, and fabulous music.
This year, on Sunday, June 4th, Prospect is looking to reprise the success of last year’s event—but this year, we are transporting our guests to “An Afternoon in New Orleans.” The dance lessons of last year are gone, and in their place is a phenomenal Zydeco-fusion artist whose music will have attendees up and on their feet, even without lessons!
We are thrilled to bring the mesmerizing, infectious sounds of Grammy-nominated artist Andre Theirry to our guests this year. A California boy with Louisiana roots—both of his parents hail from Louisiana, as do his maternal grandparents—Theirry is an “exceptional multi-dimensional musician who has a finely-honed ability to merge his Accordion soul sounds with blues, R & B, jazz, latin, and rock.” Fundraiser guests will fall in love with his vibrant, joyful tunes.
Just like last year, guests will be served delicious food catered by Concetta, one of the cornerstones of Downtown Modesto’s fine dining. Guests will also have the chance to participate in an auction with exciting items from local establishments and other great packages.
Once again, Garrad and Dallas Marsh will open the grounds of their lovely home at 3124 Esta Ave, Modesto to host this fantastic event. Doors open at 3:30pm; the fundraiser event is from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Tickets are $50 if purchased before June 1st, and increase to $60 afterwards. Tickets orders can be done online, in person, or mailed in. For those wanting to purchase their fundraiser tickets in person, Prospect will be open on Wednesday afternoons from 12:00pm-2:00pm, every week from now until the event.
