What’s Up Modesto?
I hope you all had a great October. November is the month of giving thanks, so I would like to share things I am thankful for here in Modesto! Modesto offers plenty of reasons to be thankful as we enter the season of gratitude. I am grateful for the amazing weather we have year-round, especially in the fall. November is the perfect time to explore some of the beautiful parks in Modesto, such as Dry Creek, which is a perfect location for senior photos. Get some exercise in the crisp air on the Virginia Trail, a great trail to walk your dog. Graceada Park is a cute location for a picnic. There are many more parks in Modesto that offer picturesque walking trails. Whether you’re going on a photoshoot, picnic, or walk, Modesto always provides the ideal backdrop.
I am grateful for the amazing community we have in Modesto. Our residents are actively involved in local charities, organizations, and community events. We are all committed to taking care of our amazing city and to keep making it better. I love how every event we have in Modesto always has a great turnout. This includes the Porchfest, the MAMA Awards, the Graffiti Parade, performances by talented musical artists, and so many more. There are many bands that started out with the Valley Music Institute. If you have thought about trying out your musical talent then I recommend trying it! I’m thankful for school dance programs. Having had experience in dance programs at two different high schools now, I can easily say we have fantastic dance programs in our city. I’ll be performing at the Gallo Center this November with my CCHS Dance team!
I am also thankful for the people here, as I spend time with old friends and make new ones too! When I drive through Modesto, there are so many memories made here in my almost eighteen years with people and places. The older you get the more things change but the memories last. It is important to recognize the many reasons to be thankful for our beautiful and welcoming city!
