Happy New Year Modesto!
I hope you all had a wonderful time with family and friends. Were you able to stay up to midnight? Over the holiday, I spent some quality time with loved ones! A new year means new beginnings. Many tend to have resolutions during this time for the new year. For one of my resolutions, I plan to help continue to support our local businesses. These include some of my all-time favorite places to eat, such as Deva Cafe, Churchkey, and Chefs of New York. Maybe, even grabbing a coffee every now and then at Queen Bean! The Chartreuse Muse has some art classes that I would be interested in taking as well. They have many different classes like, “take a spin pottery class.” You can check out their website for the classes by searching www.thechartreusemuse.com. I’d love to seek out a new spot to shop here in Modesto as well! In 2021, Intrinsic Elements became one of my all-time favorite shops. They have hand made jewelry, crystals, candles, and so much more. The vibe is super cool there, and I am so happy I discovered this shop. I can’t wait to see what I will find this year for 2022.
During my winter break, I have highly enjoyed going to the movie theaters as a fun activity. I love going to the State Theater located on J street. The theater has been around 88 years and is still inspiring and magical after all these years. It opened in 1934 on Christmas Day! It’s gorgeous on the inside, as well as outside. The state theater not only shows new films, they also show your favorite classic movies. I recently watched “The Outsiders” with my family, and it was nothing but a joy to see! The State Theater also hosts many events all the time. This includes comedy shows, dance performances, operas, and much more. If interested, I recommend looking up some of the fun upcoming events! I hope you all had a wonderful 2021.
Let’s make the most of the new year!
