All AgesView By Leia Johnson Are you ready for a fun summer? Whether you have a 5 year old or you’re a teenager. Concert in the park is the place to be every Thursday night of the summer. Modesto’s very own MoBand plays a variety of music at Graceada Park. This year’s theme is “Rockin’ The Bowl”. There will be nights like “Rockin’ The Vinyl” to “Tye-Dyed”. It’s a great place to have a picnic, play in the park, and spend with your friends and your family. My favorite part is seeing people I didn’t know would be there. I promise that if you go, you will see at least one person you know. I always sit in the same spot and we eat pizza while listening to the good music. My sister, Sofia, likes to dress up in the theme of the night. Here she is last year wearing a poodle skirt for Graffiti. If you want more information check out the website for MoBand at www.moband.org. I hope to see you Rockin The Vinyl on June 5th! If you can’t travel abroad this summer, but would like a experience another country, Modesto Sister Cities International is looking for host families for 3 students – 2 girls and 1 boy from France. All the students are 16 years old and speak English. They will be staying from July 5th – July 25th. If you are interested in this fun opportunity to learn about the French culture and to share all the great things Modesto has to offer, like MoBand, please call John at 602-4514
