When I think of summer I think of picnic blankets, cheese platters, my friends, and live music. Where can you find all of these glorious things? That’s right! Concert in the Park. Starting on June 4th and ending on July 9th, spend your Thursday evenings at Graceada Park! Live music will be played and tons of people will be together. It’s a great place to socialize with friends or potential friends.
Another place you can socialize is at The State Theatres screening of American Graffiti on June 6th! Doors open at 2 and the Film begins at 3. Before the show begins you can purchase a delicious root beer float! Also before the screening begins, Kent Whitt and his band (The Downtown Beats) will be playing some 50’s/60’s music. Admission is only $3 so bring your kids, friends, neighbors and everyone in between! It’s going to be a ton of fun in one of Modesto’s well loved Theatres!
My dad is in a rocking band called Third Party! They were recently featured in the Stanislaus Magazine, so if you haven’t checked that out, I recommend that you do. They are playing at Modesto’s “Elvis Tribute Show” June 13th at The State, a show that you won’t want to miss. Another thing I love to do in the summertime is go to Blueberry Bluff. I’ve gone with family, friends, and my 3 year old cousin, so it’s definitely an all ages activity. We go out into the field and turn off our phones and pick blueberries together. The price for the blueberries is unbeatable and the taste is the best! For more information visit www.blueberrybluff.com Make sure that you check the dates and times that it is open before visiting.
Have a wonderful month Modesto!
