Time has really flown this year thanks to all the fun Modesto has to offer. Some of my very favorite activities will be happening this month! One of these being MJC’s Turkey Trot which is a 5k run or walk held Thanksgiving morning. Bring your friends, your pets, we even have family from Minnesota that joins us in this tradition. I encourage you to make this a tradition of your own if it isn’t already. Another holiday favorite coming up this month, and what I personally look forward to all year, is Modesto on Ice! Beginning Saturday, November 23rd, you can visit our seasonal ice rink in the heart of downtown Modesto. You definitely do not have to be an experienced skater to enjoy this wonderful amenity. Want to take a break? Order hot chocolate and a cookie while sitting under a beautiful tent decorated with floral arrangements and hanging lights. Every detail of the ice rink makes it the perfect pastime this season.

If you’re looking for a very inexpensive way to celebrate this month, throw a Friendsgiving party! Thanksgiving is for family of course, but the week before is for Friendsgiving. Throw a dinner party to remind your friends how thankful you are for each other. You can even make dinner altogether. This is such a great and affordable way to remind those around you how much you appreciate them.

I hope this gives you just a few ideas on how to spend this beautiful month. Happy November Modesto!
