Happy new year! In honor of resolutions I want to share one of my favorite things to do that I learned from some of my closest friends, Hannah Johnson and Lauren Stone and that I try to incorporate into my daily life. While we were at six flags they taught me a game that they called 100 smiles. The game was played how it sounds. We tried to make 100 people smile before we left the park that evening. We has small conversations, complimented people while we stood in line, and we even danced with people and made friends with the staff. These small interactions were unforgettable and were what made the trip even more enjoyable. I recommend trying this in any public setting as it will spread positivity and and inevitably make you, yourself more positive. Some places you could try this in January are the Gallo Center for the Arts where you can find Elvis & Me: Priscilla Presley on the 11th or The Wizard of Oz on the 22nd and 23rd.

Don’t forget that the Modesto On Ice rink is still open until the 21st! You can also keep your eye out for events at the state, in the plaza or live music at your favorite restaurant. I had the honor of playing at Fuzios a few weeks ago and it reminded me how great our music scene is.

I hope everyone had a relaxing break and I look forward to keeping you updated on all the fun events in Modesto this year! If you have an all-ages tip or activity, please tell us at info@modestoview.com<mailto:info@modestoview.com>
