Getting out of the house and enjoying the beautiful weather is a great way to change your perspective. As Ms. M approaches change & life boldly she makes her way through the crowd at Farmers Market in Downtown Modesto this morning realizing the new month has great things to offer!
Under the stars sounds like a fun evening already but add a little drama, a blanket, a picnic and you have the perfect night for theater. Stanislaus State invites you to their annual Under the Stars production of the Steinbeck classic Of Mice and Men. Running from May 2rd through May 7th this all ages event is free. Grab your favorite essentials, friends and family and come out. The University Amphitheater gates open at 6:30pm nightly. Performances begin at 8pm. www.csustan.edu/under-the-stars

Be open to new experiences but give yourself the chance to celebrate the past. Modesto celebrates the 40th anniversary of Star Wars with the May the Fourth Star Wars Day celebration. May 4th is officially Stars Wars Day in Modesto and you are invited out to join the party in 10th Street Plaza for free. There will be music, light saber battles, a laser light show and more.
