Fall is an interesting time of year in the Central Valley, because it’s when a transition takes place. The streets are a little emptier with the children back in school, and the foliage begins to change as Ms. M finds herself exiting the Transformations Salon on McHenry, she’s welcoming a change of hair color to celebrate autumn. There’s nothing like enjoying the change of pace with a bit of new. If you don’t have an idea how to transform yourself this season, then you can borrow a few of mine that will give you a bang for your buck!

September kicks off with an incredible treat! The 3rd welcomes the Edible Extravaganza. One of the area’s most widely anticipated events. Nowhere in the valley can you beat the deal of the experience of this night. The finest cuisine and beverages from the area’s best is paired with live entertainment on two stages. Fitting in quality family time is so very important & difficult when the kids are in school. Parents are busy working and going to the movies costs a small bundle. There’s no need to miss out on some family fun at the movies. City of Modesto presents the Family Night Film Series at Graceda Park. Every Friday through September 18th catch a free flick and fun things to do for the family. The September 4th movie will be The BoxTrolls starting at dusk. Ladies first, front row and center, for the Women of the West film festival on September 11th. The first of it’s kind in the Central Valley, WOW is a female-driven festival geared toward celebrating the stories of women and women’s accomplishments in the medium of film.
