BargainView – Gratefully November

by Monica Barber

November marks the start of gratitude season. We are reminded more frequently to find gratitude for all the people, places and things in our lives, especially those we take for granted because we don’t see them often. Sometimes forgetting to drop by your favorite coffee shop, means you may never get a second chance again. Saying goodbye to Deva Café this week reminds Ms. M that it is important to enjoy the small things including shopping local especially this time of year. Since it’s the time of year to be giving and saving money, here are some ways to budget in both the fun and remain practical with your finances.

Music makes the world go around and local favorite’s Off The Air returns with new concert series with featured upcoming shows at Greens on Tenth and venues in the downtown area of Modesto The all-ages show on November 4th welcomes Salacious Wizard Cult, Daze Baby and So Much Light. Ticket information can be found on Off The Air’s Instagram @offtheairmusic. Tickets: $10. 8pm. Info: www.instagram.com/offtheair/

The theater is calling. Beginning November 11th and running through the 27th, Prospect Theater Project presents their production of Now and Then by Sean Grennan. Which is a romantic comedy about the choices we make in life, the people that share them with us and ultimately their value. Step out for few hours and take in a play with performances from the PTP players that leave you wanting to attend more productions. Play contains adult language. Tickets: GA $30. Welcome back Mod Shop! Modesto’s favorite (and very missed) fall event will be busy and filled with vendors and shoppers on November 26th from 2-8pm. Come see that the downtown event is back and better than ever. Support and shop local at all the showcased vendors, artisans, and remember to support your friendly neighborhood restaurants and eateries.
