Ho Ho Ho Holidays!
Oh it’s the holidays again and it’s been an eventful morning! Ms. M is enjoying a warm day in Modesto and reflecting on her annual conversation with the man in red… Santa Claus. He’s been curious if the girls and boys in Motown have been good this year? Well Ms. M has put in a good word for you all on the condition that you spread a little holiday cheer wherever you can! The best way to spread cheer is to get out there!
Spend the day enjoying the Christmas Season on December 5th. Kick of the day with breakfast with Santa at the Senior Citizen Center on Bodem St, followed up the Dickens Faire at the McHenry Mansion. This annual event never disappoints with Carriage rides, Kettlecorn, Hot Cider & Chocolate and tours through the mansion among craftsmen and vendors.
Continue your day with the Modesto Christmas Parade at 5:30 pm. After you catch those pretty lights make your way down to the Downtown Plaza to take in the 2nd annual Rockin Holiday. This events includes photo ops with Mr & Mrs Claus, some good ol Rockabilly and snow. Don’t miss out on this fun event! Rockin Holiday continues through the month of December. Make your way out to check out the first Central Valley Con which brings comics, card games, video games, cosplay, manga and anime culture to local audiences. Proceeds from this event will go towards Make-A-Wish and Modesto Gospel Mission. Check it out at Modesto Centre plaza in costume or not on December 6th.10am-4pm. Don’t miss out on the fun at the annual SantaCon Pub Crawl on December 11th at Firkin and Fox. Get dressed up as Jolly ‘Ole St. Nick or simply enjoy drinking alongside Santa and his elves. Give cheers to making the good or bad list this year! 21+ only.

If you have ever cared to time travel stop in at the McHenry Mansion for a Night Candlelight Tour December 18 & 20th. The mansion rarely gives night tours so it’s an opportunity to walk through traditional Victorian Christmas décor. www.mchenrymansion.org
