It is the time of year when the colors of the day begin to change, school is back in session and the city seems a bit quieter than the bustle of the summer months. The season of fall brings the excitement of change and with that comes festivals and events that are filled with people to meet and things to explore. Enjoying the festive season shouldn’t throw a wrench into your savings so here’s a few bargains to keep you in the loop.

Start the month of with your favorite boogie shoes on! Motown Boogie: Break Dance Battle throws down on September 1st. Put on your favorite kicks and step off at this all ages event. Peer Recovery Project presents this Break Dance competition hosted by Ivan “Urban Action Figure” at the McHenry Event Center form 4pm to 9pm. Modesto presents the annual city-wide Architecture & Design Week (MADWEEK), September 21st to 28th with a full schedule of events and films celebrating Architecture and Design. The festival enters it’s second decade celebrating Architecture and Design this year and sets out to inspire with a exhibits, workshops, films, trainings, activities, speakers, studio visits, tours, special events and more.
