Tesoro Do Good White Rum Fruit Mojito
Our friends at Do Good Distillery make a spirit for every purpose. We decided to go over the border at Tesoro Mexican Restaurant in Turlock. When you are thinking about your Cinco de Mayo, or heck, any day drinks, this is a new creation you really must consider. Let’s break it down with Angelica Valdez who with her husband Greg opened an amazing craft Mexican Fine Food restaurant on Lander Rd. The place is beautiful with hand made décor, great ambiance and a menu of food and a bar that will knock your socks off. We spent an afternoon with bartender Zoila Ramirez as she showed us her latest fresh fruit Mojito creation. Angelica sourced some amazing fresh strawberries and mangos and they mixed a fabulous cocktail. Rum is my friend and this Fruit Mojito is super friendly, smooth and absolutely the perfect refreshment. Crushed fresh fruit, hand muddled mint, special simple syrup and mojito mix with Do Good Rum. The DoGood is a perfect blend to the fresh fruit combination. You need to try both the strawberry and the mango.
While we tasted these tasty drinks, we were treated to unreal Chile Rellano perfectly cooked. Their Molcajete is a mindblower and will be on our favorites list. Their specialty Par de Tesoros, chicken with Jalisco sauce and garlic butter shrimp is a hall of fame. You need to put this place on your short list ASAP. The food is fresh and the drinks are fresher. While we were there, they were hosting a fundraiser for a local school soccer team. We love the places that give back to our community. Give this place a try and you will be a fan.
