X Fest Turns 17!

ModestoView was at the very first Xfest in 2000, and now 17 years later, it has become one of the biggest and best California music festivals. X Fest has launched the careers of many bands and is one of the big summer staples and successes. But for 2017, X Fest was upended by the City of Modesto and this event will now take place at the San Joaquin Country Fairgrounds were the facilities are perfect for a festival. There will be 20 stages, over 80 bands and the fairgrounds has plenty of easy parking and the all of the stages, nightlife, dancing, food and drink will be conveniently located and easy walking.
Headlining this year is hip hop star T Pain and one of the legendary punk bands of all time, Suicidal Tendencies will be an exciting addition. Local bands like CallBox, 17Ten, Nothing But Losers, and Purp Reynolds need to be on your list to see. There are tribute bands, local rock stages, and some of our favorite events like Bushido Wrestling will be there as well as Roller Derby and other fun things to do. Make sure that you check your schedules before you go so you don’t miss this annual event. Hang out with your friends and check out our local bands, sharing the stages with national acts. You will discover some great new music for sure.
