Billy Currington hit the stage full of energy, and he never once lost that enthusiasm at the sold out show at The BasiNationwide Amphitheater at the Fruit Yard on September 20.
Currington didn’t want seats, but a pit, so the audience was on their feet for the 90 min show. It was a fast paced show from the first song to the last. He did less small talk and got right to singing! It didn’t matter whether it was an old or new song, the crowd was dancing and singing alongword-for-word as Currington danced and swayed along with them.
The country singer/songwriter has released six studio albums and has scored eleven career No.1 singles, most recently “Don’t Hurt Like It Used To.” His other hits that reached the No. 1 spot include such memorable songs as “Good Directions,” “Let Me Down Easy,” “Must Be Doin’ Somethin’ Right,” “People Are Crazy,” “That’s How Country Boys Roll,” “Hey Girl,” and “We Are Tonight.”It felt like listening to a country mix tape of hits!
Local Ryan Scripps, once a contestant of the Voice, opened up for Currington. Scripps and his band did a nice job warming up the crowd on a beautiful Friday Night. @richterentertainment #REG #fruityard #Billycarrington #katcountry103
