Hello everyone! October is here and it’s time to play dress up. There are some great shows this month too, but first let me remind you that every Thursday at Garlic Brothers in Stockton you can check out the Blues Jam, hosted by Jeramy Norris & the Dangerous Mood. Always fun, and it’s and a great way to meet other musicians and music lovers alike. They have a great menu and a view of the sunset that is to die for.
On Friday the 2nd, Jeramy Norris will be at Royce Farms BBQ in Stockton starting at 6 pm. If you haven’t seen these guys in action, you really need too.
On Saturday the 3rd, take a trip to the Country Club Saloon in Loomis to see Henry Gray & Lazy Lester live. Henry Gray has a career spanning 7 decades. He has shared the stage with such greats as Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, and the Rolling Stones, and is considered to be a legend in his own right. Lazy Lester is a master harmonica player and has written songs that have become blues and rock standards like “You Hear Me Knockin.’” They will be joined by Sacramento blues man Kyle Roland for what I’m sure will be a great day for everyone involved.
Then on the 24th, Big Earl and the Cryin’ Shame will be up in Jamestown at the Gypsy Shack for a night of blues in the hills. This will mark our first time playing in Jamestown. As a fan, I have been to the Shack many times, and I can tell you first hand that it’s a great place to spend an evening and I do hope you can make it.
Lastly, I would like to share a little bit about the best Halloween party I have been to at the Prospect Theater on K St in downtown Modesto, hosted by the Wrong Doers. They have prizes for best costume and the dancing just doesn’t stop. So make your plans early and get yourself on the list for a real good time.
Have fun this fall everyone, I hope to see you all out at a show soon!
