November is looking great for the Blues and Roots scene in Modesto and I hope to see packed houses all month long.

I’m very excited to announce that on Monday Nov 12th the Sumner Brothers from Vancouver B.C. are coming to the Barkin’ Dog for a very rare local show. Rumor has it that some of the fellas from The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit will be sharing the stage that night as well. These guys are real up-and-comers so make sure to put this on your calendar and make the effort to come out for the show. There is a goodchance that their next trip through California will require fans to spend some real dough to get a ticket to see them.

November Thursday Night Ramble’s are looking good. We are going to feature some old favorites and welcome some new faces to the Ramble stage.

Returning to the Ramble this month are Francesca Nicola Bavaro, James Lawry, Russell Irvin, Marirose Powell and Nathan Ignacio. Some of the new faces you will see are Scott Berriar, Chadwick Adams, Adam Bishop, Paul Tunkle and the Dandelion Massacre. We aretaking the 22nd off for Thanksgiving. As always there is a $5 cover and this event is all ages.

Big Earl and the Cryin’ Shame will be playing a few shows locally in November. The 9th we will be at the Barkin’ Dog, on the 10th we will be at T’s Cocktails and then on the 30th we will be at the Cow Track Lounge in Oakdale. For you folks that like to travel, we will be up in Sac on the 8th at the Torch Club- a Sac-Town favorite and a great place to see live music.

The Poorhouse Millionaires will be playing at the Cow Track Lounge on Nov 16th, as well as every Sunday at Deva Cafe from 10 to noon, it’s always a good time and a great show for the whole family. Come out and have breakfast with us and start your week off with a song in your head and some great eats in your belly.

That’s my rundown for November. Follow me on Facebook to find out more about what I’m up to and see where I’ll be from day-to-day. Keep in touch and let me know how I can help make the Modesto music scene better for you.
