Lumberyard Cellars
Sangria Slush
We hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy Lumberyard Cellars by now-they’ve been open for a whole year. We can’t believe how that’s flown by! Their patio is super inviting, especially at night with all the twinkle lights. Try this slush with a charcuterie board, which features some of the best our Valley has to offer like Hilmar Cheese, Nut Up Industries, Stuyt Dairy, World Food Products, and Fiscalini Cheese. Derick and Megan Webb are a husband and wife team with a passion for wine-and they do it well. The wine is delicious, the vibe is relaxing and welcoming. They often have pop-up events and feature local bands for live music, so check their Facebook! We know you’ll love their sangria slushies!

Grains of Virtue
Seltzer & Beer Slushies “Grain Freeze”
Oakdale’s newest brewery is named from the proverb, “Life is a virtue; you need to enjoy it.” GoV is known for its funky fun beer flavors created by Kris Panelle, Matt McCracken and Cory Onken like Lucky Charms, Fruit Loops, Circus Cupcake and White Gummy Bear which all make really scrumptious beer slushies that they call a “Grain Freeze”. Their Smurf Daddy and Adam’s Apple seltzers make fantastic slushies, too! They feature different slushies all the time, so come often to try them all.

Surla’s
Fina Colada
Have you heard? Surla’s is back! We are sure happy the doors and patio are open for lunch and dinner again, and I am surprised we are just hearing about it! Chef John Surla was busy opening his new restaurant, Fina in Ripon. Chef John has become one of Modesto’s leading culinary voices and is a ModestoView favorite. His namesake Surla’s has become the standard of excellent cuisine for regional dining and now Fina in Ripon will be a game changer with his fresh take on Italian plates. So you have two options for getting this delicious Fina Colada! It is topped with a passion fruit foam and honestly, I think that is a really neat treat all on its own. The cocktail is just an ABV-loaded bonus! Come try it and let us know what you think.
It’s best to make a reservation. On weekdays they’re open for lunch, weekends for dinner.
