BrewView: Simmer Down at the Grand Cru

We try to stay on the up-and-up on hot new liquor creations for you, and we have accidentally stumbled across the valley’s hottest new concoction while browsing Facebook the other day. We love it when new libations fall into our radar!
The Grand Cru in Turlock has been one of our favorite Turlock watering holes since discovering them on the “Devil’s Elbow Scavenger Hunt” in 2018. It’s the site of the old Vintage Lounge and Piano Bar, which converted to Grand Cru in August 2017 after The Udder Place owners Jerry Powell and Shayne Heine purchased it to turn it into a wine-centric bar that is both approachable for the common sipper and comfortable for the connoisseur. And they succeeded in both. Lodi isn’t the only city with posh bars!
And while they busted into the scene with a great wine selection, we can’t downplay their cocktails on wine’s account: they are boldly branching out into CBD Cocktails, using CBD Floaters, a company which tailor mixes cocktail inspired drops to put into your favorite adult beverage to bring your weekend or nightcap an extra dose of zen.
Given the nature of our day jobs, we didn’t try the loaded versions of these cocktails ourselves but brought along a trusted, knowledgeable adviser who happily informed us you can’t taste the CBD drops, only the delectable flavors which enhance the already delicious drink. These drinks will not get you high, but rather give you a double dose of relaxation, so fear not fellow lushes-if this seems up your alley and your employer allows you to partake, we highly suggest one of these blends for your consumption!
