Like a BIG Pizza Pie…

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s amore!!! When the world seems to shine like you’ve had too much wine, that’s amore!!! Yes Mo Viewers, it looks like I’m in love… it all started at Luigi’s Pizza on a warm summer night, when that moon was big and bright, oh wait that’s my favorite song of all time; Dancing in the Moonlight by King Harvest! But it really was a supernatural delight; I could get it almost every night, as it is a fine and natural sight that could be most enjoyed dancing in the moonlight! Nothing quite like the beginning of a new relationship! Yes, I have fallen for the Smack’in Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza at Luigi’s! But I’m afraid I’ll become a two-timing cheater as the Garlic Cheesy Stuffed Bread Balls dipped in marinara are irresistible and quite addicting!

So, to all you stingy MoViewers who are already regulars at Luigi’s and neglected to mention this to me, you are all in trouble with me! I love great pizza! I often make it at home because, well, mine is the best! But after my dining experience there I will likely buy it more now that I found this local gem thanks to my loyal friends, like Dana Walters of Daydreams and Nightmares and Colleen Winter of Direct Appliance, who are generous enough to share it on Facebook! So when I first spied the photos of these beautiful pies, I thought perhaps it was just advertising photos, they can’t look that good every time, but they do! It was fascinating to me that they actually hand roll the dough right there for you to see behind the glass window! The crusts edge looks like one you’d see on a specialty baker’s fancy fruit pie. As I was watching, we talked about the technique; twist, tuck, and fold! But more than the eye appeal; the taste is what really makes it

a Dana~licious new favorite!

Next visit I must try the garlic butter pan pizza, how does one turn that down, right?! The big honey BBQ wings looked and smelled divine as well! The have hot wings, too. Luigi’s has a nice variety of pizza toppings to build your own pie or choose one of the specialty ones from the menu, like Rigo’s Combo has everything or the Manly Meat lovers! They also have a few unique sauce choices like BBQ, Chipotle, Marinara, and white garlic! Calzones available, too!

The dining area seats up to 20, and that’s where I met another mother & her two daughters who were first timers from Patterson as they were lured in by the terrific reviews! Also, four teens sat at the counter and shared a gi-normous 20” pizza. Even with their appetites I don’t know if they could polish it off! Leftover pizza is a bonus in my fridg!

Pete Warda is the owner of Luigi’s. James T. Jones has been the new manager for the past few months. James is very enthusiastic about the food, customers, employees and the overall quality they bring to the community! The pride of the business was very present among the employees, I like that!

Modesto View Signature Question: James, Beatles or Stones? 30 seconds pass, tick, tock; He calmly said Stones as they more from his time. I think he was ready to break out in a Stones jam right then, but he refrained!
