Ee Haw and Giddy Up Modesto!

Greetings Modesto Friends!

Eee haw! Spring is springing some amazing variety here in the Greater Modesto area. If you are anything like I am, you are scratching your head wondering just how you are going to squeeze in all the cool things to do into your busy daily schedule. But then again, this is a really good problem to have. Imagine, so many interesting things to do that you can’t fit them all in. Yes, my Modesto friends, that is the Modesto that we see here at ModestoView. So many good things happening we can’t even begin to fit them all in to our pages here in the magazine, so that is why they overflow to our ModestoView.com website and why our Facebook.com/modestoview page is growing so fast with nearly 11,000 friends and our twitter.com/modestoview has over 3,000 following so you are always in the know. There is really that much good stuff happening and best of all, so many people that want to know the good stuff about where we live.

Even though we are looking at some serious water issues, we look at our area with a glass half full view. All of our challenges can be solved with teamwork and a big view of what we want to be. Stanislaus County is really closely connected and we need to act as one big giant team to make our whole region better. Each city really needs the teamwork of the others and that is why we look to our new CEO of the Stanislaus Alliance David White as he shares our view of teamwork and building a better economy. We take a look at one of area’s legendary events, the Oakdale Rodeo and realize we have world-class and tradition-filled events happening in all of our cities nearby. Downtown Riverbank, Oakdale & Turlock are all less than 15 miles from Downtown Modesto.

We need jobs, we need art, we need culture, we need smart water, we need strong and vibrant downtowns, we need good streets and freeways, we need strong schools and education, we need more music, love and friendship. Just like our families, when we act like a team, great things can happen. It is all a bout the greater good my friends. What can we all do that makes our entire community better?

ModestoView is here to accentuate the positive, celebrate the teamwork, and make sure that we are all thinking locally with our business, community and cultural efforts. It is up to all of us to take the ordinary day and make it a great day. It doesn’t take that much extra work to make a good event a great event if we all team up. ModestoView has so many great teammates and we are very proud to work with all of you and hope you are having as much fun as we are.

Every ViewCrew writer in this magazine is really making a difference in our community and I encourage to read their columns and attend their events. You will really enjoy it. Every business that advertises is the best in town and you should consider their services. They are helping us spread this message of good news for our community.

Teamwork is the key and we all need each other to make our community great. Thank you for reading and please let me know what you think about ModestoView and what we can do to make it even better. This is for you and we are so proud to be “Serving Civic Pride Daily since 1997”

Have a great day Chris Murphy Founder and Publisher – ModestoView chrism@modestoview.com
