Erasure on a Violet Flame

Erasure on a Violet Flame Tour

This time last year Erasure had just released their Holiday LP, Snow Globe, with 13 tracks that included mostly all new music outside of a few Christmas classics. It was definitely a must have to add to my Holiday music collection. Shortly after, Erasure went back to work on a new LP and amazingly Vince and Andy got it done in a short period of time. Violet Flame came out on September 23rd, 2014 and quickly went to #2 on Billboards electronic album chart. Their new LP features 10 original tracks and just recently they released 2 remixes, Elevation and Reasons, which are now available to purchase.

On November 1st Erasure wrapped up their North American tour in Oakland, CA at The Fox Theater to a sold out show. Yours truly was there to experience their final US performance before they headed back to Europe to continue their Violet Flame tour. Andy and Vince were greeted to one of the most enthusiastic, energetic and loud concert crowds I’ve ever experienced. Andy’s onstage flamboyant appearance wasn’t surprising minus the high heals he’s famous for wearing during his performances. This time around he featured more of a combat boot style with some of the shortest sequined shorts that flattered his lower half. Andy still has the moves and he used every bit of those sexy leg muscles to keep himself dancing on stage with each song he performed. During the concert my wife and I found it heart warming that Andy and Vince shared a quick friendly kiss as to remind the fans that they will and have always been together as Erasure. As far as for Vince, he plays more of the musical genius on stage that controls much of the songs electronic rhythm from his keyboards along with performing a few songs on the guitar. He is also a very genuine man that appreciates his fans. After the show on his exit outside to his van, Vince was seen recognizing a few fans with waves and a couple of autographs. Just recently I connected with Erasure’s group via email and asked them what they enjoyed most about their North American Tour.

Erasure “It would be the reception, we were blown away by the enthusiasm of the audiences we received during our North American tour.”

Erasure’s opening band, Super Humanoids, was very impressive on stage. The band is from Los Angeles and have a synthetic pop hypnotic sound. Look for their music to be more prevalent as they make their way in the National music scene. Super Humanoids bands info and website included below.
