More about our event calendar

In the great city of 219,000 people with a county of 450,000 people, you will find incredible independent restaurants, things to do for families , national caliber performers like Styx, Social Distortion, ZZ Top, Cheap Trick, John Legend,  Dwight Yoakam, Hootie and the Blowfish, Vertical Horizon, Avril Lavigne, Grandaddy, Megan Slankard, Matt Nathanson, Chris Isaak, Willie Nelson and many more.

Modesto is the home to  Porchfest in May, Graffiti Summer in June, Music in the Plaza from May to October, DOMO First Fridays, ModStock in August, Picnic at the Pops in September, the annual MAMA Music Awards in October and Rockin’ Holiday in December.

We have some great art galleries, museums, and points of interest. There are new things to see and lots of music at the Gallo Center, State Theater, Prospect Theatre, the Fruit Yard and the new Intermission and Modesto Junior College.

Many of our local restaurants, bars & breweries have live music most nights of the week that also serve fantastic food and drinks.

Take your kids to events at the Great Valley Museum, the Graffiti USA Museum and the Modesto  McHenry Museum and learn about our city.
