Family Fun with Kids

Family Fun with Kids!
By Chris Murphy

As the excitement builds around the building of the Modesto Children’s Museum, there are things that you can do now to bring the family together and create fun and healthy times. I know that I am looking for fun things to do with my grandson. There are cool places like Dave & Busters, Boomers, Incredible John’s, and FunWorks for good times, games, food, drink, mini-golf and gokarts and these are a blast. But there are also things that can be done for little or no cost so you can have fun and stretch your family bucks as far as possible.

New at our to our local parks are some permanent Pickleball courts. Hopefully soon we will have some Futsol, a small tennis court sized soccer game. These are great ways to get your kids out and about and playing with others. Check out Central Valley Pickleball. www.facebook.com/groups/349042712134957/

Stay cool at the Splash Pads. These are free to enjoy are very helpful for a hot afternoon. There are also many great programs and activities at our parks and pools to enjoy. Also, you can runt many of our local facilities. Check out the Activity Guide for the things to do, many of which are free.
