Go Modesto Join ModestoView and the local art community for an amazing fundraiser to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Modesto and CLASS Art Program as we take ourselves to romantic Old Havana and enjoy an “Evening of Cuban Delights”. This event is “Focus On…” a photo exhibition and fun evening as a fundraiser for arts for youths programs, presenting a beautiful and stimulating photography collection depicting the life and times in “Old Habana” (Havana) in an exhibition that we are calling “Havana Focus” evening of the music, food, dance and great feeling of being in Old Havana. Photographers, David Schroeder and Jon Sousa spent several weeks immersed in the life of old Havana and used their cameras to tell the story. You will be astounded by the delicious authentic Cuban street food, a great stage show by the Arenas Cuban Dance Company, dancing to Los Boleros, and “street music” music with Ramon Romero, Carlos Caro & Rafael Manriquez: “Latitude 23” There will also be a special appearance by Modesto’s world-renowned opera star, Roy Stevens. Several bars will serving up the best Mojitos (featuring Gallo’s Shellback Rum), and a Cuban cigar cabana and ModestoView will be hosting one of the bars so stop by and look for the ViewCrew doing their best Hemmingway.
