Opera Modesto
The opera group formerly known as TOP, or Townsend Opera Players, underwent a huge transformation last year and has now become Opera Modesto, under the leadership of opera veterans Roy Stevens, Annalisa Winberg and Ryan Murray. They really want to open Opera up to more of our community and in fact, Opera Modesto opened the 2018 MAMA Awards last year. This month on May 3rd and 5th, Opera Modesto presents what has been called the “greatest opera of all time” Carmen at the Gallo Center and will make a special guest appearance at the DoMo 1st Friday Market.
