GraffitiView – Graffiti Summer is Coming

by Chris Murphy
This is the 60th Anniversary of Modesto’s most famous high school class ever, the Class of ’62.
Just in case you didn’t know, Modesto USA is the Home of American Graffiti and the Home of George Lucas. Everyone who calls Modesto home should be proud of this. Even if you don’t want a ’57 Chevy or wish you had hair like Elvis, it is something that sets us apart and makes us special and people around the world think it’s cool. There is no other city in the world, or galaxy if we are being accurate, that can make this claim. Take some time and explore the Cruise Route, other Graffiti heritage locations and stop by the Graffiti USA Museum under construction now. Lots of great music, history, legends and chrome. Soon we hope to announce some really exciting new plans for our Graffiti USA experience. Stay tuned.

Join the Graffiti USA Museum team today!
This is the most exciting project to happen in Modesto for over a decade. We are going to bring our classic car culture to life in an immersive way, taking visitors back to that magical time in 1962 when the cars were cool, we cruised the streets and rock and roll was getting going and we all listed to the same station. Learn more about being a donor, contributor, volunteer, docent and more. There is something for everyone as we celebrate how cool Modesto USA is and build a beacon that will shine the Graffiti light around the world for all to see.
