ModestoView News Letter

Greetings Friends!

Yay!  It’s raining.  This is the time of the year we will take all we can get.  Sure it is tougher to drive and walk to a happy hour, but we need the rain for the greater good.

This is an action packed week as we bring ZZ Top to rock a sold out show at the Gallo Center, a concert by Grammy Award winner John McCutcheon both tonight.   Then we have a special Art Walk Thursday with Tim & Patty singing at Tresettis’ and then showcase an amazing play called On the Verge at the Prospect Theatre.  Saturday, we all rally up at Briggsmore and McHenry for the Women’s March 2019.

Don’t miss out on a super cool Lunar eclipse show at the MJC Planetarium.  I’m waiting for the Dark Side of the Moon Planetarium show someday.  You can get your comic self all dressed up for Stockton Con this weekend too.   We also tip our hat and remember Larry the 11th St Barber as he passed away recently.  We did a little write up for him as he was such a fixture in our downtown scene for so many years and we remember the great times we had with Carol Channing how made Modesto her home.

Enjoy Modesto this week and hope to see you out and about.
Chris Murphy
