ModestoView News Letter

Happy Mardi Gras Friends,

This is one of those extra fun days and also one of the tastiest.  I really don’t know anyone that doesn’t like the N’awlins cooking and the fun surrounding Mardi Gras, with maybe a Hurricane or two.

Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday is when we always think of Mitch Maisetti of Tresetti’s.  Mitch was a wonderful person and larger than life. He loved Fat Tuesday and his presences is always felt and there are a few places to celebrate tonight.

Later this week, we get to start enjoying some new drama presentations, an amazing film about wine at the State and the Modesto Symphony will be taken over by the Pirates!

You know I am always up for a Beatles Tribute and you can enjoy Come Together at the State on Sat night and then you can spend your Sunday afternoon at CBS for a performance by Voena.  So much variety in our amazing community. To really know what is going on in our community, please check the best event calendar in our region at www.modestoview.com

Sadly, we have lost a Modesto icon, David Bradford.  He will always be remembered as always smiling, always ready to lend a hand, donate, cook and bake for the good of Modesto.  His energy and enthusiasm will be missed and we all need to take a minute today to remember him.

We celebrate our own Patty Castillo Davis this Saturday as she is recognized as an Outstanding Woman of Stanislaus County.  We are all so proud of her and celebrate the way she gives back to our community.  We have so many amazing people in our orbit and we celebrate them all.

With gratitude to all, – Chris Murphy chrism@modestoview.com
