ModestoView News Letter

Greetings Friends!

It is exciting times here on the set of “The Sands of Modesto”.
Wow, what a fun surprise to see good ole Modesto USA featured on Saturday Night Live, and have our city mentioned by James Bond- Daniel Craig, Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong, Chloe Fineman and Keenan Thompson.  Yes, I feel the screenplay of a new series brewing with some of our creative folks here in town that participated in the 48 hour film festival at the State.

March is on full speed ahead and that means we are only a week away from St. Patrick’s Day, our Murphy national holiday.   Our friends at Nino’s will have a St Paddy’s pre-party this Saturday along with an Irish pub crawl downtown.  Then on the 17th, it is party time at P Wexford’s.  You really need to check out their traditional Irish offerings all year long and the keg of Murphy’s on the day.  Read Abigail’s article below and check it out.

This week you will find dinosaurs at the Gallo, art at the Mistlin and loads of music this week with Gary Gervase at Urbano and Texas Funk at the Goat on Friday, the sultry sounds of the Valerie V Quartet at the McHenry Museum on Sat, Eagles Tribute at the State and even Opera at Congregation CBS.  Finish the weekend off with the smokin’ hot blues with Chris Cain at Urbano Sunday.  WOW.  So much to do, hear, see and eat.

Remember – You can stay healthy by limiting public physical contact, covering your mouth if you cough and wash your hands regularly.  We can do this Modesto and stay well.   We don’t want to be a real episode of The Sands of Modesto.   If you haven’t seen this yet, click here.

I hope to see you out and about and make sure that you check out our amazing event calendar before you leave the home or office at www.modestoview.com    The sands of Modesto shift in unpredictable ways.

Be safe, have fun and stay well.  – Chris Murphy

You feel at home in an Irish Pub and we have a really special place here in Modesto. P. Wexford’s Pub has been serving up home-style, family-friendly, authentic Irish eats and ambiance since 1999.
