ModestoView Weekly Greeting

Happy April Friends,

Did you survive your April Fools Day pranks? Are you ready to face the new week without your shoelaces being tied together? If you are, we have a lot of great stuff for you to do this week.  First, it has been beautiful!  I rode my bicycle all over yesterday.  Enjoy the next couple of days as we are expected to get more rain on Friday.

Our new issue is out and it is fun.  We take a look back at the history of Modesto Baseball, all the way back to 1872! We welcome special guest writer and historian Carl Baggese for a great look back about why we love local baseball. We also have an interview with our own Olympian Kendall Wesenberg, so you need to check this out.

This week is loaded with music, poetry, science, an Elvis wedding and the first 1st Friday Markets on 10th. Check out these great stories this week and you can read our new April issue this very second by clicking here. http://www.modestoview.com/the-magazine.
So get out, enjoy, and dig the sights, sounds and smells of a new month.

If you have any ideas on how we can make ModestoView more interesting, I always love feedback; good or bad. We want ModestoView to be something you can count on every time you make plans to leave your house.

Thanks for reading and forward this to a friend.  – Chris Murphy  chrism@modestoview.com

Greetings Friends,
It’s baseball season friends. I’m not really the kind of baseball fan that tracks the stats and watches all of the games, but I love the idea of the sport, the ballpark, that people still listen with a transistor radio with an earphone, the 7th inning stretch, peanuts & crackerjack and the tastes of all of the ballpark food.
