ModestoView News Letter

Greetings Friends!

Can you believe this rain reprise we are getting this week?  Snow dusting and crop watering is a good thing.  There is so much happening this week so you really won’t be bothered by the rain anyway.

We have some great comedy at the Gallo Center and you can be a real rock and roll lead singer at Ralston’s Goat on Thursday evening and there is a science night at the MJC West Campus.  I hope you checked out our interview in the April Modestoview with Great Valley Museum Director Arnold Chavez?  Check out the link below.  It is really fun and informative.

This weekend, the weather will be clearing up for some really important outdoor events happening. The Stanislaus Artists Open Studio tour is happening this weekend and make sure you buy your map and check out the places where our artist create.   Also this weekend is the Pollinator Festival at the La Loma Native Plant Garden on Sunday where you will see a new mural, learn about our pollinators and even join in on a kids pollinator parade starting at noon.

This weekend is something really important as I and our team will be Walking a Mile in Her Shoes, yes, red high heel pumps, to raise funds and awareness to prevent spousal abuse and domestic violence.  Please consider sponsoring me in this walk and I will make you proud and even smile.

Thank you to all that make a difference and volunteer in our community.
I hope you see you all out and about .   – Chris Murphy

April showers us with Earth Day, Open Studio, Art Walk, and more. In my case, its time to build new walls around my new carport art studio. Having to move recently, I am showing my art at Moon and Sixpence for the Stanislaus Artist Open Studio April 6 and 7, with Anne Whitman. Read More
