ModestoView News Letter

Greetings Friends!

First things first.  Thanks to all of you that donated, walked and supported the Haven Walk A Mile in Her Shoes.  The ModestoView/Sierra Pacific team was proud to be one of the top fundraisers and I came in 2nd place. Your support, but financially and emotionally was very much appreciated. Also thanks to all of you that came out to the Pollinator Festival at the LaLoma Native Plant Garden. It is places and neighborhoods like this that make Modesto so special.  If you have not connected with your local Modesto Neighborhoods organization, please do so and let’s connect our communities.

Speaking of contenting, it is almost time for Love Modesto.  This Saturday, please join in with thousands of fellow neighbors and businesses for a city-wide cleanup and improvement effort. There are still some projects that really need you and please take a look and sign up today at www.lovemodesto.com  We will see you at 10th and I St at the Gallo Center on Saturday morning at 8 am.

Don’t miss out on anything this week.  It is Oakdale Rodeo week so git yer hat and boots ready.  Tonight, Blue Monday hosts an amazing blues & jazz jam at the Barkin Dog and it is opening night at the Modesto Nuts on Thursday evening.  My band Third Party will be playing at Ralston’s Goat Sat night during BunnyCon at 9 pm.  So get your bunny ears and cottontail on and join in on the fun starting at 6 pm.

We appreciate all you do to make Modesto better and hope that you have fun doing what you do.   See you out and about and please check our amazing event calendar at www.modestoview.com

RodeoView

By Chris Murphy

This is one of the longest running and most popular rodeos on the west coast. The Oakdale Rodeo is so legit and famous, it was even visited by Farrah Fawcett during the 80s! Live from the Cowboy Capital of the World, Oakdale, the festivities start early the week of April 9 and get crazier as it leads up to the weekend finals on the 13th and 14th. Read More
