ModestoView Weekly Greeting

Greetings Friends,

Hope you are enjoying our thunderstorm Monday!  It is going to be a beautiful week and make sure that you are all signed up for Love Modesto on Saturday.  There are still projects that really need your support.   Amy Vickery and I will be co-MC’s on Saturday morning at 8 am so I hope to see you there.   You can sign up for projects here:  www.lovemodesto.com.

Lots happening this week with fun things like comedy, Earth Day in Graceada Park,  Bach & Beatles, and a very fun 3rd Thursday Modesto Art Walk in Downtown Modesto.  Art Walk is free, fun & fabulous.

On Sunday, I will be playing an acoustic Beatles Brunch at Café Deva from 10-12 to raise $$ for the Haven Walk  A Mile.   We have no use for spousal and domestic abuse and I hope that you can join me and please contribute to our team, it would mean a lot and I am thankful for anything you can donate. Donate here:  www.firstgiving.com/team/366321

Our community really is special and it is heart warming how we all support each other.   This is what makes a city better and stand tall: civic pride & civic engagement.  Step out of your regular routine this week and try something new, there is a lot to choose from.
Thank you so much.  – Chris Murphy

Fear of the unknown
Human nature is hungry for information and knowing stuff. We don’t do so well with the
unknown. In the ancient world, kings would go ask the advice of an oracle or gaze into a crystal ball to see the future. Today we ask Siri, Alexa or go on the internet. Read More
