Greetings Friends!
Wow, did you have a fun earth day, Easter and Passover weekend? There is just so much going on, and the reality check is that it is going to get even busier as we head into May so let’s enjoy the last week and weekend in April.
Since Russia is in the news so much lately, plan on taking in the music of great Russian composers at MJC on Tuesday. For those that love geeky trivia, Geeks Who Drink has a new home at Ralston’s Goat, so put your team together and give it a try. Beer and Fries are some of the best food sources in the world, and there is a festival for each one of these this weekend. Modesto BeerFest is Saturday and and the Motown FryFest is in Graceada Park on Saturday too. These are hard choices, so I recommend doing both.
I hope to see you at the Go Red for Women Luncheon at the Modesto Center Plaza on Friday as we continue to spread the word about being good to your heart and promoting heart safety and research with the American Heart Association. See you there, all dressed in red. Warning, if you have some fave foods and other items at the Modesto Farmer’s Market, you better get there early as I missed out on Kelly Farms Flowers last week. Don’t be sad like me and get there early and enjoy the amazing tasty treats on Thursday and Saturday mornings on 16th St, next to the library. I hope to see you out and about, enjoying our community.
