Greetings Friends!
Was the rain just this side of crazy last week? Hail in Stockton, snow in Sonora and so many events had to go to plan b, c, or d this weekend. Fortunately, Porchfest was able to happen and we had a great turnout at our porch and there was a lot of fun and music to be had by all.
This week, if you haven’t been to a local Modesto Nuts game this season, you really should check it out. Make sure you don’t miss the weekly Music In the Plaza, Fridays in 10th St Plaza from 7-9 and this week featuring the amazing talents of Tim Allen, Patty Castillo Davis and Joe Baretta. It will be great and make sure you get a spot for dinner on the patio of Ralston’s Goat, Graffiti Dogs or Fuzio.
This weekend is the big final weekend of May so don’t miss a play at the Prospect Theater, some zydeco music at the Eagles Hall and the annual Seafood Boil at the Bayou, and then some Opera at the Mistlin Gallery. Monday it will be Memorial Day. There will be events on the 7th St Bridge, Lakewood and Acacia Cemeteries and we remember those who sacrificed so much on this day of remembrance.
Hope you see you out at some of these events and make sure you check out our amazing event calendar at www.modestoview.com

FitView: More Bang for your Racing Buck

As Spring has now sprung, foot races are now in an abundance. That’s great if you can afford to run every weekend. For myself, I learned early on, in my racing career that it isn’t always affordable to sign up for every race. Let’s face it, not everyone out there is looking to be part of a charitable race to help cats learn to be a Disc Jockey. Read More

Add to this 3,000 of your best friends, blankets, and picnic baskets and you have a hall of fame slice of Americana, or Modestocana as we like to say. Read More
