Greetings from ModestoView | 12-16-2019
ModestoView News Letter

Greetings Friends,

We are smack dab in the middle of an exciting, but short holiday season.  I hope that you have been enjoying great Modesto happenings like Rockin’ Holiday, the Nutcracker, SantaCon and the Ill List.  What a season we are having and it will keep getting better all week.  The Modesto Symphony Candlelight concert is on Tuesday and there is special holiday gift Modesto Downtown ArtWalk and Friday night, you don’t want to miss the Candlelight tours at the McHenry Mansion that is all beautiful in Victorian Christmas Décor.  You can also see some of your fave holiday films at the State Theatre this week and check out the new Jewel theatre opening up and a special 85th Birthday on Saturday with free films and events all day long.

The really big intergalactic excitement is happening Thursday Rockin’ Holiday night for the premiere of the final instalment of the original Star Wars Saga. You really don’t want to miss the conclusion to the story created by our own George Lucas.  #homeofstarwars  Come downtown for Rockin Snow, Rockin Tree, & Rockin’ Santa and get ready for the film and you will hear the Jedi Lodge Pole Pickers playing in the plaza with a special laser show from Laser Voodoo.  We will have 2 more Rockin’ Holiday nights with the Highway 99 band and Saturday night with the Tim Allen Band Christmas show.  It will be a super fun week.   www.facebook.com/rockinholiday

There are only 2 more days to support the Soroptimist and Sunrise Rotary Giving Tree at Vintage Faire Mall.   You can still sign up to ring a bell for the Salvation Army and there are some jacket and shoe drives that still need your support.  This is the week to get all of this done.

If you went to the ill List or went to the Spirit of Giving Run, check out ModestoView Facebook to see nearly 1000 pics from the run and tag and share your pics.   Remember to tag your Instagram pics #modestoview so we can share them too.

Enjoy this week and make sure you take time to gather with friends, celebrate the season, and enjoy living in Modesto USA, A Classic American City.
See you out and about,
