GreetingsView -Spring into April

Greetings friends,

I feel like I am scurrying to everything. Do you feel the same way? Spring is most definitely springing as we race from thing to thing, event to event and place to place. It’s like we are the squirrels running through the trees. You can feel it in the air, no matter where you go, there is a buzz, things are happening, more bikes on the bike trails, there are more people walking downtown, more places are open for breakfast and more patios have musicians and like the busy bees, those crafty pollinators, everyone is exploring and getting things ready for the nice weather. Like they say, April showers bring May flowers, and here in ModestoUSA, it is especially true this year. We can celebrate our amazing planet and learn amore about how we protect it at Earth Day on April 20.

This is also the time for sharpening our tools and repairing our homes or businesses. It seems like we have a short window of time for the pruning, chopping, trimming, fixing, power washing, cleaning and waxing the tools in our sheds, whether it is something physical or even if it is mental. We need to take time to prepare and get ready so thing work right, because once May hits, it is a high speed roller coaster ride until winter.

This month is really important for more reasons that really make a difference to the community. ModestoView is so proud to be a long-time supporter of Love Modesto and the community wide event on April 13 has something for everyone. If you volunteer all the time, or if this is your first volunteer experience, it is so easy to lend a hand on Love Modesto. I hope to see you there. The volunteer spirit truly makes the greater Modesto area something special.

There are others that really need your help in the most personal ways. I, my family and the ModestoView and Sierra Pacific Warehouse Group crews will be walking a Mile in Her Shoes on April 6. We absolutely must stand tall against domestic violence and spousal abuse. The Haven Women’s Center offers a safe refuge for so many when they are at their weakest. As a husband and a father of two amazing daughters, it is important that the men in our community embrace the importance of this issue. Please help us raise funds by donating to our team by clicking the “Donate” button on www.modestoview.com

Finally, we end this month with Go Red For Women luncheon and I am happy to report that with the great work from our medical community, that my heart is functioning great and I am so happy to be able to support the great work of the American Heart Association.

I hope your April is fantastic. I wish you special times with your family and friends and hope you enjoy every fast moving minute. I hope to see you out and about and please let me know what you like about ModestoView, and even what you don’t like so we can make it better. ModestoView is the best way to reach the best people in our community so I really appreciate you being here.

Thank you,
