By Chris MurphyMy family celebrates Modesto through the lens of Modesto High School. Even as a Beyer ’79 grad, our family has always seen MoHi as something really special in our community, both as Modesto’s first high-school and as a big part of our family history beginning with Gertrude Kendall (Truman) in 1934). For years, Modesto High has been celebrating their Hall of Fame alumni. From Max Foster (’23) Ernest (’27), Julio Gallo (’29), Marie Gallo (’53) to Gene Widfield (’45) Harve Presnell (’50) to Kenny Roberts (’70) and Erin Cafaro (’01) and many more. The history and the accomplishments of Modesto High alumni is really special. Our family is especially proud this year as our Pop, Michael McNulty (’61) will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He has been a key person in Modesto’s business community, played a big role in celebrating Modesto in the Modesto JayCees, generous fund raiser hosting an annual Sierra Pacific fund raiser that has delivered nearly $750,000 back into local non-profits. On top of that, he was the founder of our company and for me personally, a wonderful role-model and mentor as well as an amazing parent, grand father and great grandfather who will be celebrated forever. Please join us this year and celebrate all of the amazing inductees at the Elks Lodge to celebrate the 2024 Modesto High Hall of Fame .
