Serving Civic Pride Since 1997

Happy July Modesto Friends!

Greetings Modesto Friends!

This month is all about celebrations. We celebrate the birth of our nation, we celebrate the success of Graffiti Summer and how we are now enjoying Graffiti Summer all year long with our new sister company ModestoGraffitiUSA.com Our family got to celebrate the wedding of our oldest daughter Madison to a great guy Ryan. We celebrate our very own civic pride called Modestocana. Yes this is who we are, we are a community of friends that care about each other, we are a community that welcomes new people and visitors to our community and are a city that celebrates our history to celebrate our future. We have really creative movers and shakers and people that are really leaning in to make a difference. We have a unique city in that a few people can really make a difference and build teams that are interested in helping

I live in a house of full of powerful creative women. They are leaders, they are strong and they are creative and they represent to me so much of what is wonderful for our future. I am so very proud of what my girls have done and am so very proud of the women of our ViewCrew and the women in our local music community. Something wonderful is happening with the Northern California Women’s Music Festival. The big event is coming on October 23 & 24, but in the months leading up there are fabulous fundraisers and music events showcasing the amazing and talented women in our community. Do not miss this and please lend and hand, with your time, money and word of mouth.

Arts enrich our lives. Culture is a huge economy. Our cuisine is special. ModestoUSA has a big advantage and we need to make sure that the Arts, Culture and our Cuisine all work together to attract visitors to our city. People came from all over the world last month to attend Graffiti Summer events. We need to make the transition to have people visit Modesto for Graffiti history all year long with events, museums, mural tours, concerts, car shows and more. Music events draw people to our city all year long. The Gallo Center and the State draw from all over and people come to Modesto for our restaurants and our agri-tourism. This is how we GROW revenue and CREATE jobs and opportunity. These things are not just for fun, but it is part of what creates ModestoCana. Yes ModestoUSA, ModestoCana should be served daily and thanks to you our readers, our local business that advertise in ModestoView and our amazing ViewCrew, we are making this happen. We want you to be a part of it and thanks for being here. Please email me if you want to get involved with this and we will connect you to the right place. chrism@modestoview.com<mailto:chrism@modestoview.com>

This month we celebrate our nations’ birth and we can all be there together on the 4th of July. I am so honored to be the announcer for the 141st Annual 4th of July parade. Please join me in downtown Modesto at 9:30 am on the 4th.

Take the challenge to enjoy the summer heat and still get out and explore our community. Try our drive ins, go to the shows, eat on our patios and most of all, invite someone that doesn’t get out much to go do things with you and tell them about how cool our city can be even when it is hot.

Thanks to you for being a loyal reader. Don’t forget to check out our amazing event calendar at the end of this magazine and at www.modestoview.com before you leave the house so you don’t miss anything.

Have a fabulous 4th
