HEALTHSOUTH BREAKS GROUND ON MODESTO INPATIENT REHABILITATION HOSPITAL
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – HealthSouth Corporation has officially broken ground on HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Modesto, a 53,600-square-foot inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 50-all private patient rooms. HealthSouth Modesto, located at 1303 Mable Ave., will provide physical inpatient rehabilitation services in a hospital setting for patients who have experienced stroke, trauma, brain and orthopedic injuries, as well as other major illnesses or injuries.
“HealthSouth is a national leader in inpatient rehabilitation services, and our teams of skilled clinicians provide life-changing results to patients who hope to regain lost independence,” said HealthSouth West Region President Jerry Gray. “We are excited to be expanding our services into the Modesto community.”
The development is expected to represent a $28 million investment in the community and, once open, is expected to create approximately 120 full-time jobs. The hospital is proposed to open by summer 2016.
HealthSouth Modesto will be HealthSouth’s third hospital in California, joining HealthSouth Bakersfield Rehabilitation Hospital and HealthSouth Tustin Rehabilitation Hospital. Additionally, HealthSouth expects to begin construction on a new hospital in Murrieta in the third quarter of 2016.
