All right folks I did the deed turned the big 60 and realized man I’m old. Garden party to celebrate in Bezerkely Ca in the house I was born with some amazing musicians: Barry Finnety guitar, Dave Hawks drums, Johnny Valdes guitar, Tim Allen bass and vocals, Larry smith and Jennifer Cleveinger and Jim Davidson paino, John Kydyde on steel pan, Sax Andrew Rosenblum and Steven Heck man with 12 course New Orleans cuisine with a lot a lot of cool folks in a garden party setting, Yes I am still recovering! Blue Monday Invitational Jam returns to the Barkin’ Dog Grill this Sept 11th some special guests: Barry Finnerty virtuoso Jazz guitarist and Conrad Johnson Bass and lead vocals. Also on the gig with House band Ultra Lounge, Johnny Valdes guitar, Tim Allen bass, vocals, Dave Hawks on drums, Horns Kevin Marin, and Marty Martinez , Eric Benson & Dave Dow on keys, and horn section: We will be playing some of Barry’s arrangements; TOP, Crusaders, Doors, Stones, BB King, and some Latin, Funk, and a little of everything else. Show from 7 to 10 PM with food and drink available in the all-age venue. Call the Dog for reservations: 572-2341. If you play, come on down and sit in with the best musicians in the area, or to listen and dance, it’s gonna’ be smoking!

The Barkin’ Dog Grill’s lineup for Sept; features 2nd Gary Gervase Blue Band, 8th Johnny Rocket & Thrust, 9th Patty Castillo & Willy Hinez, 11th Blue Monday with Eric Benson, 15th Dave Dow and Friends, 22 Valley Jazz Project, 23 Bourbon st Blues Band , and 29th Tim Allen and Patty Castillo duo. And Dave Dow host’s the every Thursday night Jazz jam session.

And John Griswold is back at it bringing in “Stealin’ Chicago: Steely Dan and Chicago Tribute Sat Sept 2nd to the Lucca winery Ripon with my fave drummer Dave Hawks drums. If you want to hear some smoking music in an outdoor setting, catered food and a wine tasting come on down!. The Show takes place is in a beautiful outdoor venue with dining, art show, preshow music, wine tasting, emergency chocolate tent and a whole lot of nice folks. Come back out for Third Thursday Art Walk 5 to 9:00 PM where there will be a cool Rockabilly theme and a mystery to solve, some great art and music in the downtown! Lowdown on the jam session in the downtown: Queen Bean Sundays open mike night also in an all age environment.
