Kettle Kick Off Goes Virtual

By Chris Murphy

It’s November and in normal times, there would be 1500 people eating lunch and raising money at Modesto Center Plaza. This year The Salvation Army made the difficult decision to hold a drive-thru event. Still the fundraising competition is good and can be done online and via drive through to raise much needed funds for so many need! You will be able to purchase delicious, pre-packaged lunches for only $10 each and pick them up at a drive-thru area for easy pick up on Thursday, November 18th from 11am – 12:30 pm.

Pick up location is the Shelter at 320 9th Street in Modesto to drop off your donations. At the same time, you’ll be able to pick up your reserved boxed lunches. Keep in mind that you will be able to designate your donation to a specific team or choose to just put it in the KKO kettle. Please help by reserving your lunches ahead of time by November 10.

At 12:30pm, you will be able to log into the Facebook page for “The Salvation Army Modesto Red Shield Center” and virtually participate in a short program and view the results of our fundraising efforts. There will be some very exciting surprises during the program, so you will not want to miss it! @SalvationArmyModestoRedShield

For fundraising team and donation questions, please contact Debra Hernandez at 209-522-3209 or e-mail Debra.Hernandez@usw.salvationarmy.org<mailto:Debra.Hernandez@usw.salvationarmy.org> by November 10. Let’s make this the most successful Kettle Kick-Off yet and help people in our community the most efficient way.
