MAMA Records Launching Soon.
Do you like local music as much as we do?
There is more to the scene that just liking live music. We have to champion live music and local talent. Live music is an important part of our community culture and MAMA will be advocating to support local policies, and encourage business to host live music and develop new venues.
The Modesto Area Music association will soon be a non-profit 501 c 3 organization. This means that we will be working hard to promote Modesto-area music, assist in promotion and also provide education on how to make a better CD and connect you with industry experts.
MAMA Records will be located in the space that used to be Harley’s Records (1218 J) back in the 50s and 60s. This is the record store where George Lucas used to buy his records. We are proud to be moving in to historic place to help showcase live and local music, foster creative development and connect musicians with venues, producers, engineers and the music industry.
