As we March into Spring the weather slowly warms and people tend to spend more time outside enjoying themselves. March is a fantastic month to get reacquainted with the outdoors. Whether you’re out in the garden, playing ball, or taking a walk to soak in the sunshine, here are a few ideas that will let you save your dollars.

Great music is no stranger to Modesto. On March 8th, the Gallo Arts Center welcomes the dynamic four-piece a-cappella group Kings Return. They are comprised of four brothers, Gabe Kunda, Vaughn Faison, J.E. McKissic, and Jamall Williams, who have a powerful blend of vocals that are showcased in their wide range of musical styles, from R&B to jazz, gospel, pop, and classical. The Grammy-nominated group has amassed a large and devoted online following and looks forward to bringing you a moving, entertaining, and joyful night of live vocal music. Get your tickets now. Springtime is a great time for crafts. Dutch Hollow Farms hosts their Spring Craft Fair on March 16th from 9 am to 3 pm. With free parking and free admission, you are welcome to venture through more than 100 of the best craft vendors. Don’t forget to enjoy their beautiful tulip and daffodil farm. Runners, get ready, set and go! The world-renowned Modesto Marathon races through town the weekend of March 23rd & 24th. The Boston & NY qualifier full marathon takes place along our own beautiful Modesto tree-city neighborhoods, and urban landscape, with a view of the mountains on a clear day. Runners have Saturday to pick up their race packets and Sunday to complete their races which range between a full or half marathon, 10k & 5k races. The races are also open virtually in addition to the in-person experience. One of the best things in Modesto around springtime is heading out to the Modesto Certified Farmer’s Market. March 30th marks the welcome of the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Come to the market to find your fresh organic foods, fruits, vegetables, local eggs, honey, baked goods, and more but stay for some Easter fun, music, and activities for the family.
